  • Matchbox Minis with Lita's Little Shop

    When: March 20th 6-8pm

    What: We will be sculpting a tiny creature with polymer clay and then coloring our tiny beings with acrylic paint. Then we'll create their sleeping caps & pillows by hand finishing off our miniature masterpiece with accessories that speak to you and your creature. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring a matchbox, fabric, or any other tiny things to outfit your mini.

    There are 10 spaces available and this event is BYOB! The workshop will be held in C'mere in the French Quarter. This is open to anyone 10 years-old and up. There is street parking available & there are no refunds for this event.

  • Paper Marbling Workshop with Nicole Bunis

    WHEN: Thursday, March 27th @ 6 - 8PM

    WHAT: Join us for a fun 2-hour workshop all about Suminagashi, the Japanese art of paper marbling! We’ll start with a quick look at its fascinating history, then dive into the basics of floating ink on water to create gorgeous patterns. You’ll get plenty of time to experiment with different techniques and let your creativity flow. By the end, you’ll have your own beautiful marbled papers to take home. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!

  • Into to Zine Making Workshop with Noelle of Poofy Dust Cloud

    WHEN: Thursday, April 10th @ 6-8PM

    WHAT: in this 3-hour class, you'll learn:

    what makes a good zine

    a lil zine history

    why zines are so cool!

    zine construction & assembly

    why YOUR zines matter!!

    you’ll leave the workshop with:

    10-15 copies of your zine!

    a copy of everyone else’s zines!

    a take-home zine kit so you can make MORE zines!

    maybe even new zine-making friends!

    AN IMPORTANT NOTE:
    you are full of unique & important knowledge, experiences, perspectives, art, poetry, stories & more that the world needs and is excited to hear! all you need for this workshop is yourself! however, if you want to bring art supplies, written thoughts, or collage materials, you can do that too!

    ACCESSIBILITY:

    we will have air purifiers on during the workshop

    KN95 masks (or equivalent) required & provided

    hi, i'm noelle. i run the brand @poofydustcloud. i’m a full-time working artist. i have a BFA in drawing. i’ve been an art handler and museum worker for 10 years. i’ve tabled at 300+ events all over the country. i’ve made dozens of my own zines and artist books over the years, and have a personal collection of 100s more. i’m gay. i’m a capricorn. trust me, you're in good hands :)

  • Gel Plate Print Making with Rachel Loyacono

    WHAT: Join us for a fun, hands-on printmaking experience during Mardi Gras season! Using the beginner-friendly gelatin plate printmaking technique, you’ll create vibrant, multi-layered monotypes with botanicals, stamps, and stencils. This workshop is all about color, creativity, and experimentation—no experience needed! All materials are provided, so just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll make some beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints together.
