Valentines Card Making with Anna of Sassy Banana Design Co
When: Thursday February 6 6-8pm
What: Join local artist & stationer Anna of Sassy Banana Design Co. at C'Mere for an evening of heart-centered creativity & community connection. Together we'll be making Valentine stationery with recycled, upcycled & handmade materials, including:
5 recycled paper greeting cards, pre cut and scored + matching envelopes
String to combine the cards into a gift set
Handmade paper to create a private, sealed love letter (can be to yourself)
Cutout hearts, found items & materials for collage
Glitter
Artist pens, colored pencils, scissors, glue and tape to share & borrow
Plus, brief demos will be provided on how to:make handmade paper
create some fun doodles
cut and score your own greeting cards using recycled paper to create a set
collage tips + tricks using upcycled materials
fold and seal a letter without an envelope

Crochet with Carol
WHEN: Thursday, February 20th 6 - 8PM
WHAT: Join us for a relaxing evening of crocheting and good company at our Coaster Edition event! This is a great event if you're just starting to get into crochet or have been saying for years you want to learn. I'll go over the very basics of crochet and we will be using the stitches of single stitch and slip stitch. This is the perfect opportunity to unwind, get creative, and learn new skills. We'll provide all the materials you need to make your very own set of coasters. You'll leave the event with your new crochet tools, leftover yarn, and coasters made by you! Just bring yourself and positive vibes.
Materials included: 1 ergonomic crochet hook, 1 darting needle, and 2 skeins of yarn.
A little about me: Hey! I'm Carol (she/her), and I have been crocheting for about 8 years. I specialize in crochet clothing and accessories and have recently started dabbling in free-form crochet. WHAT: Join us for a fun 2-hour workshop all about Suminagashi, the Japanese art of paper marbling! We’ll start with a quick look at its fascinating history, then dive into the basics of floating ink on water to create gorgeous patterns. You’ll get plenty of time to experiment with different techniques and let your creativity flow. By the end, you’ll have your own beautiful marbled papers to take home. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!

Matchbox Minis with Lita's Little Shop
When: March 20th 6-8pm
What: We will be sculpting a tiny creature with polymer clay and then coloring our tiny beings with acrylic paint. Then we'll create their sleeping caps & pillows by hand finishing off our miniature masterpiece with accessories that speak to you and your creature. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring a matchbox, fabric, or any other tiny things to outfit your mini.
There are 10 spaces available and this event is BYOB! The workshop will be held in C'mere in the French Quarter. This is open to anyone 10 years-old and up. There is street parking available & there are no refunds for this event.
